Helen joined our company in 2001 and took on roles such as 'Maria' in West Side Story and 'Irene Roth' in Crazy for You.

Helen played Maria in West Side Story for SCAMPS for which she received a NODA nomination. 

 

Helen has studied with many prominent professionals across both Classical and Musical Theatre. Including Suzanne Murphy (principal soprano with Welsh National Opera 1976–85) Jane Samuel (principal accompanist for Katherine Jenkins). Blake has performed in master classes with Jeremy Huw Williams, Helen Field, Dame Margaret Price, Beatrice Unsworth and Jeffrey Howard (arranger in residence for Only Men Aloud!). After four years training at the RWCMD Helen graduated in 2008 from the Vocal and Opera Course with a BMus (Hons) degree.

Having performed all over the UK and abroad in musicals, weddings, operettas, and major corporate events Helen is now based in Wilmslow offering private singing tutition to both children and adults.
